Li’l Language Scholars Spanish Classes

Adding Spanish to your curriculum is easy! We offer school-day curriculum for elementary ages. Our goal with Li’l Language Scholars is to offer young children the opportunity to learn a foreign language while their brains are the most adept at recognizing and learning it.

Classes are taught by Paula Fortini, MS Ed. After working in the public schools for 20 years, she noticed a lack of foreign language instruction at the best age. She opened Li’l Language Scholars in June 2003.

Benefits:

  • Enroll any time, we will prorate your cost.
  • Phonetic guides on our website.
  • Progress reports every 8 weeks.
  • Automatic re-enrollment until you tell us differently.
  • Increased analytical thinking and intellect.
  • Greater sensitivity for listening, flexibility, and acceptance of others.
  • Better problem solving skills.
  • Teaches children to take risks.
  • They learn rapidly—the best time to offer foreign language is before age 10.
  • Bilingualism is extremely valued in our world today.
  • Our classes are just plain fun!

Tuesdays, 3:30 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

Chess scholars

Chess Scholars training program is based on our unique Chess Belts® system with a gradual step-by-step increase in the difficulty of material. This system enables us to quickly teach children the rules of chess, enhance their understanding of the game, as well as take them to a higher chess skill level.

Our curriculum is well-suited for the needs of young students. Children love our Chess Belts system. We also have a special point system designed to avoid discouraging young beginners. We work with students of all levels, including complete beginners.

We always design our instruction to best fit the needs of the group and to ensure students’ fastest chess progress as well as their enjoyment of chess. Typically, we divide the time about equally between teaching and guided practice games. In some cases, we split up the group into two parts, when the students’ range of skills is too wide.

Thursdays, 3:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m.
